Default Depth Finder Help

Was at Normandy last night and both depth finders kept showing this. One is a HB 581hd DI and the other is a Piranamax 150. At first the contrast was up, turned it down. Then surface clutter was off, turned it on. Still could never get rid of this.

Could this be the thermocline?

Second picture is the baitfish going around my fishing light. Pretty cool.

It's one I made. It's the clear tube for fluorescent bulbs with green led strip lights and I sealed the ends. On about 15' of wire, has a fuse and alligator clips for hooking to the battery.
