Default Watching for Buoy Removal

I received an email from Doug Markham (TWRA / Doug Markham Outdoors) that includes the following:

While working with Channel 4 on the Old Hickory Lock/July 4th closing, I talked with the OH lock master and he said the buoys are scheduled to come out next week below OH. Says it takes about 30 minutes. I have always liked that particular lock master. He said he told DeLapp a long time ago he opposed his plans and that DeLapp told him in so many words he could go work somewhere else.

It sounds like it wasn't a pleasant experience for a number of Corps associates. Anyway, let's keep an eye out for the removal of those navigational obstructions in our river.

I floated by those things three or four times, wanted to drape my stringer of fish over one and get a picture...To late now, but that is a good thing. I noticed they put the lifejacket sign back up. Wonder how many tax payer dollars were wasted with that little experiment?
