Default Nuther' shoutout for Trout Magnet/Leland

A week ago today, I ordered some TM bodies and a sore lip rod from Trout Magnet. Friday, it was waiting at the post office.

However, about an inch of rod tip had been broken off in shipment. I called after lunch to work something out. The response was an instant and profuse apology followed with an unsolicited promise to send me another rod. They only asked that I send them a photo for their files.

Today, my replacement rod was waiting for me at the post office.

These folks are on the same customer service plane as Dillon and RCBS. I can't say enough good things about them and their products. As soon as I find the right tip, a deserving neighbor youngster is going to get a 6' 4 1/2" rod mounted with a spare Shimano Sienna reel and 4 # stren.

They've really got customer service down. I ordered some more stuff Monday afternoon, it was just delivered about an hour ago. Let's hope they keep this up as they continue to grow. You know how it goes sometimes, once a company really gets large they care less and less about customer service.

I am proud to be associated with Jeff and Leland's Lures. He is a fine individual and makes a great lure and provides outstanding customer service. Leland's lures has sent a box of their product to give out at the Gathering. There will be something for every member of the fishigtn forum at the Gathering if they want it. Some things we will draw names for.

Had to get rid of that kit box though and go with a waterproof Plano, it stays together much better, now I don't dump the kit everytime out, and I can keep 15 or so colors , different heads, and floats all seperated.

The very first thread is all the updated information, I've been editing it on a regular basis, this is so everything can be found in one place, and you don't have to read through pages of discussion. Everyone is welcome 10:30-? Saturday June 29th Sanders Ferry Park at the southwest side of the park, we have a pavilion on the water reserved.

Jeff and the team are the best!

Alpha - Since we will be close to the water, how about a demonstration of the famous "Twitch?" Thank you for turning me on to Jeff and TM/CM!

One thing you should try, that another member on this forum had good success with at the Caney last week, is trolling them. I was thinking about this today and with the slanted jighead, if you troll them they won't go in a straight line like a normal circular shaped jighead. They'd have to dart in different directions giving that split tail the action that drives fish crazy as it would being twitched or under a float in moving water.

Twitch method is killer though, I use it and it's hard to get the lure back to you without several hits if not actually hooking a fish.

Was using the trout magnets with my kids, 5 and 9, they were wearing the sunfish out! Fishing is WAY more fun with kids if they are catching fish!
