JPP immergent grass areas

I have never fished JPP usually putting in at Cordell Hull simply to not have to deal with recreational boaters and jet skis traffic. Im retired now and am able to fish during the week to avoid the commotion at the ramps (hopefully) Which areas seem to have more shoreline beds of immergent grass (the kind that stands out of the water, do we have lilly pads on any of the impoundments like JPP, OH or Cordell Hull. I cant recall seeing much.

I like fishing LM and now its time to expand my horizons and I want to consider night time cat fishing. Coming from Woodbury where might be a good area to put the boat in. Im thinking Jefferson Pike Rec Area but I have no idea which direction to point the bow.

I cant resist a bed of grass but Im keeping my catfish rod in the boat and rod for bluegill for my cat fishing bait.

Stewarts Creek is not much further to drive and will get you in much better water. I drive from Mcminnville and usually put in at Stewarts Creek although usually fish downstream from Hobson Pike. It is easier to find shad on the upper end.

If you are going to fish at night, DO NOT put in at Jefferson Springs. Too much thieving going on then. Daytime at Jefferson Springs isn't much better either because the recreational boaters have taken over the place. However, they do tend to stay closer to the ramp area so if you are willing to run a little ways you may get away from most of them.
Stewarts Creek and Fate Sanders are both good places during the week but both can be pretty busy on the weekends, especially if there's a tournament going on.

The only safe places to leave your vehicle at night (still no guarantees) are Fate Sanders, Four Corners, Elm Hill and the Yacht club. I would not leave my vehicle at any other boat ramp on that lake at night and several I would not launch from in the daytime. Very little grass on Priest. This time of year is great for structure fishing in deeper water and if you know how to find and catch them, suspended schools of bass.

Thats really great feedback. I didn't expect all the thievery.

Ilii get out my map and pin point. I really can appreciate the day when running all over the place only cost $20 for a truck and boat tank full of gas.

Has anyone had any confrontation with other boaters? I almost got ran over near Jefferson Springs up from the bridge. CLOSE friggin CLOSE ski boat. Lost some favorite tackle and my wife wont get in a boat again.

I love Cordell Hull but its hard fishing seems to me.
