old hickory lake fishing report
It was a great day to be on the water with little to no wind. I fish just around the corner from lock three ramp. I started the day off at 5 AM at the mouth of the first cove from the ramp with a KVD 1.5 in 10' water. The fish were braking all around me but no takers. So I tried the KVD 1.0 and still no takers. So I tried a power worm in all black for an hour slowly working the bottom , shore line and trees. Still no luck so my last hope was a 6" black lizard by zoom and it was like someone turn a switch on. All the spots I just tried I hook up and some of the spots had three bass on them. After working that cove I kept working to the right and found bass on all points, trees, shady spots and drop offs. All of the bass were from 1/2lb to 2 lb. I caught around ten bass and lost around six so in all it was a lot of fun and I let all of them go for someone else to catch................woody
