Default Caney 6/14-15

It was so good to be on the Caney Friday and Saturday.Being gone for six weeks made me appreciate how great it is to have the Caney to fish.We decided to come home and rest a few weeks before returning to Moore,Oklahoma to continue feeding and helping folks. If you would like to go and be rewarded in helping, give me a holler.
Now the Caney.
I have informed my bide that if I ever go again on a Saturday during the summer,to shoot me.I was able to catch some fish, but since they are not sleucing it is difficult and the kayakers and others just running over you made things unpleasant.Friday was a little tough and only caught 25.And that took over 4 hours.I will say that most were Browns and nice size. Most in the 14-18" range. Broke a lot of line and floro.I feel that my line must of weakened from sitting in truck so long while gone.
I caught most on white TM's with black jig heads on 2 lb SOS.The new 9' TM rod with micro wave guides really makes it nice to cast. Most of the trout were caught in shadows or deeper water.4-5' deep.

No he's not joking.....have known him for several years. A normal day for him would be 100 trout. He is one of the best for catching trout on the Caney during no generation I have ever seen.

Wow Ed, that's impressive. I have family coming down this summer and I think that's where I may take the younguns'. They don't fish much (2-3) times a year, and I think using the trout mag and getting them on some fish would be enjoyable for them and me.

Ed,

I'm off work most of July and may be interested in helping for a couple weeks. When are you heading back down?
