Default Middle TN Streams

Got to love the creekfishing. Thanks Dad for taking me at that young age!!!!!!!!!! Please be proud of a creek bum!!!!!
The creeks have been rocking with great action the last few weeks and some big catches. 3 days with 5 over 15 inches.
Rock Bass loving the slider action and the smallies are loving those creekminnows as they move toward there summer holes. Check out Mike Dial or creeksmallies creek fishing on facebook for more pics. $250.00 for one or two all day long.

It is a great way to beat the heat, make memories fishing and catching some trophies without the expense of a a boat!!!! I did blow out a tennis shoe toward the end. It started letting to much gravel in. Time to break out another old pair!!!!! The streams are cooler this year because of all the rain so be prepared, if wading through waste deep to chest deep water right at dark to get a slight chill for the next few weeks. Of course with such a wet spring compared to last year the underwater springs are pumping in some nice cool water and should continue as the streams fall to summer flow and warm up. This is when you look for that underwater spring in the heat of the summer when the stream is at its lowest flow. the bait and fish will be close to the coolest water.

I used to do a lot of creek wading years ago with my grandfather. Bet we wore out dozens of pairs of high top Converse All-Stars in the creeks.

My guess is that Chuck Taylor did not intend his basketball shoe to be a wading shoe

I gotta break out the ole Converse too. I waded most of the day Saturday with my 3 sons. Stepped off bank into thigh high mud and list my croc sandals. It looked like a Bear Grylls episode by the time I got out.
