Default Harpeth Bass and a Question

Been fishing the Harpeth since the 80's and this 20.5 incher was the biggest I've caught there...lost another nice one. Caught on the old pig and jig.

Question...when using worms, craws, etc, do you all put them back in the bag they were in when done so that they stay in the scent or do you leave on the jig? I hate taking them on and off since they tear up but want them to be in the scented bag if necessary...

Nice bass! I usually leave my trailers (craws) on the jig until they tear up. I also spray a little scent on them at the beginning of each trip.

I leave mine on the hook. I use strictly ZOOM worms so they're not scented anyway. I think that stuff is a gimmick.

I use Zoom with salt. I don't know about the scents. A lot of folks swear by it but there have been lots of articles written that some scents on the market may turn fish away. I don't know but if I wanted to keep the scent on the bait I would put it back in the bag.

Regards

I don't use scent to attract fish as much as I use to it kill my scent (I smoke).

scents I believe make a huge difference. Not in attracting fish, but in the fish holding on when it does hit a bait. I make my own and love to listen to the people around me laugh at my fish formula while I am catching fish and they are not.
