Default TN River 6 1 2013

Mic Winters came up and we fished from 6 to 6 yesterday. He kept 29 crappie to take back to Old Hickory. In all we caught over 60 crappie but way to many under 11 inches. A couple pics attached.

Nice job.

Have you ever used an inline or spoon slid down on the main line trolling those cranks?

If I remember there was a thread on here at some point talking about doing that.

Default Yesterday

Agelessone tried to tell me how to do that with a spoon but i never did any good. I have a three way that i'll put on with NO wind and run a Bandit 300 under- catch alot of Blue cats for some reason but it's hang city if speed, turns and wind aren't all in sync.

father of 4, you've got that right!

Or tie into a big blue that runs over ALL your lines.

Had that happen to me Wednesday with just a 7# channel cat. He pulled the rod (brand new Skeet Reese fiberglass 7-6" with Bill Dance baitcaster) overboard (fishing for crappies, I didn't have the rod in a holder). Luckily for me,the rod floats. I wound up pulling in the whole mess, cutting off 6 cranks and 3 inline spinners and retying everything.

But I did manage to bring home 20 nice crappie.

Went to the same area today from three to seven thirty and pulled out another 16....and probably lost another dozen that got off between the hookup and boating. Fun afternoon though.
