JJP Bluegills
As most know the water has been up on JPP and the fishing has been tough....I was looking for Crappie today along the flooded areas and came across a big bluegill bed...caught @ 30+ in an less than an hour...some were 7-9 inches .....I took a couple of the smaller ones and tried to feed them to a Striper or a Hybrid but no luck.....I did catch a 3 lb Hybrid and a decent White Bass earlier in the morning on top water..... Just giving the Bluegill Hunters a heads up ....no pics or videos though....water temp was 70.1* when I pulled the boat out at 7 Points....

Thanks Aqua, red worms or small jigs for the Gills? Sounds like a good day for me, but I know how you like tearin into those crappie from your videos. My kids like those by the way.

Good report. I need to get back into the kayak to get on those Gills. The doc says good to go Monday. I was thinking the water was going to get warm quick.....going to try and get up to JPP to try for some big Gills next week.

We had about the same luck today on priest. We put in at seven points and fished there most of the day. Over the course of 6 hours we caught close to 100 blue gills, 1 smallmouth, and 1 12" crappie right before we left.

We had some of the best saltwater fishing at our feet and we wanted to catch Gills...LOL.

You can bank fish now....just the bank is a lil higher....tends to make the fish feed when the water is up....new sources of food......

Hey aqua, did you see the twra boats, trooper boats, the police boats, and the helicopter circling around close to Gilligan 's island? We left 7 points and went to Hamilton creek for about an hour and on the way back we saw their boats and the helicopter circling around. The chopper was flying really low. We stopped way away from them to assess the situation to decide if we needed to go a different way and the trooper boat pulled up and told us to go the other way. One of the troopers had a fluorescent jacket on that said instructor. Maybe they were doing training exercises?

I saw the Helicopter....earlier in the week I saw several TWRA boats doing what looked like a buoy course way out across from Cooks Boat Ramp......
