Default KY Lake in the rain

Waded the bank again today, caught 5 keeper crappie one was 14 in and one 15 in,, 3 keeper bass ( didnt keep them) 3 nice shellcrackers, one small white one gar,, get this,, lost count , more then 20 Catfish that were over 3 lbs ,all on my little 1/16 black spinner until the cats destroyed it. Is this common for ky lake to yeild cats in shallow water ? Am new to this area but am starting to love it. Fished thru a down pour about all day. Cant wait til my next day off.

Cats will do that this time of year. They kill my Trout Magnet and it is the devil to get them in on 2# test.

I think the cats know when the fish start to spawn and move in to eat the eggs. We have caught them to 20 lbs+ this time of year. The average is 3 to 5 lbs for us. they are a good fight on ultralights. We also catch few hog drum this time of yer too. Congrats on a successful day catching fish.
