Williamsport 3-27-2013
Tried fishing a little today both at Bluecat and Shell Cracker. The bite....for me....was almost nonexistent. I caught one 10 inch Shell Cracker and one 13 inch largemouth. The largemouth didn't have much fight yet the Shell Cracker was pulling drag. The water temp was 49 degrees....dropped 6 degrees since this past Saturday. The water is clear. Like everyone else I am waiting for it to warm up. If the temps get back into the mid to upper 50's Williamsport should be on fire. I know the water will not warm too much by Friday but will get out again. If I'm not there I can't catch them.
Regards

Well I am not quite ready to get in a canoe or kayak. I don't want you to pull your bass boat down here on account of me as I am not sure I could get into one of them either...LOL. I am fishing with my son on Monday.....and have Dr. apt on Thursday. But the other days...if weather is decent I would be happy to meet you out there. I could show you where the crappie hang out.....don't pursue largemouth much but they are in there. A 7 plus pounder was caught in Shell Cracker today. Just let me know....be happy to fish with you.
Regards

Actually,I'd rather pull my bass boat down there because of the gadgets I have on it.And my Expedition is going to get about the same gas mileage with the canoe on top or a bass boat behind.
Plus I see on Google Earth, they have a dock so we could get you in the bass boat with a lot more legroom.
Let's keep an eye on the weather and make a plan.

Water temps have dropped since I've ben out there last it was 52-53. The hybrids were going nuts that morning, and caught a few largemouth not many, but they sure were plump. If Merv is offering, I would take him up on that, go for it.
