Default priest, rain, stain

I haven't been able to fish for 2 weeks now and I've only been once in about 2 months. I was planning on fishing around jefferson springs on priest on Sunday but it's supposed to rain Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It's a 60% chance Friday, 75 Saturday, and I think 60 Sunday. I'm not opposed to fishing in the rain, but I think the stain that's coming on the upper end will affect the fishing. What do you think? I'm targeting crappie and white bass. I know the lower end of the lake won't be stained so I'll probably fish there. I wanted to fish the upper end because the temperatures are a little higher. when I fished the lower end two weeks ago the water temp was 45 and I couldn't get bit. I'm hoping to have my 798si hd installed and my 597 ci hd on my trolling motor by tomorrow. Maybe that'll help some. Would you try to fish in the stain or change the game plan?

I caught crappie after the last rain in stained water. Had to figure out where they were on the cover as they seemed to really pack in against it on a certain side. Also, ended up catching them on brighter colors like orange or chart.

I'd say you can still catch as long as the wind isn't too bad but really work the cover more rather than just casting around it like on a normal day.

I'll give that a try. Hopefully the wind will be nice to me so I can stay in position to work the cover.

I have really been wanting to take my puppy to get her used to the boat and water. I guess she'll have to sit this one out.

There are not many places to hide in that kind of wind. It might be worth taking a rain check literally if the wind is that much.

I probably will but I've been watching the forecast for this Sunday since last Monday and it changes everyday. Hopefully it'll change for the better. I have my fingers crossed.

Maybe you can find another place to still fish but not be out in the wind as bad or at least not have to fight the boat too.

Even fishing on the bank at Williamsport in the wind is a chore. But you having to deal with boat control makes it worse I am sure. I just let the wind be my friend on the fishing part.....I just fish my jig under the float and the chop does the action. Works really well.

Regards

Problem solved, I'm going on Saturday after my daughter's soccer game. My girlfriend works Saturdays so it makes planning Saturday trips hell. Thanks for the replies guys.
