Skeg repair

Anybody know someone who can make and weld a new skeg on my 40 merc ? Can get it done about anywhere in fla for 100 bucks. But.......
Hit something coming out of smithfork creek last year and smoked it .

No. I have a skegshield on it ; however, I would like a new skeg welded on. Skegshield can destroy foot !

Yes I Have a friend who replaces them for $125 to $135 depending on Make and model ... (The vendor for the skegs has almost doubled his price ), Larry likes to do all of his welding at one setting ... He has ordered a skeg for replacement already for one of our members.
