Spent two hours at Bluecat yesterday. The big bass are still being caught out there. The water temp of the lake is 54 degrees at surface...verified with 3 bass boats coming in. I caught quite a few buck bass and some that went 13 inches. The water is going to have to warm up some before the Gills really get active. Caught about 10 crappie. The good news is that it appears the crappie fishing this year will produce lots of 11 inch fish....that in a pinch....will make some decent table fare. Nothing like what Nickajack or Kentucky Lake puts out but then again don't have to drive that far. Saw a kayaker out there fighting the wind....hoping he would come in before I left but did not....don't know if it was someone from the forum or not.

Regards
