Default This past weekend fishing!

Well, It was a beautiful weekend weatherwise, my wife was still gone, so i decided to fish every hour I was awake!

Starting friday after work, I headed to wade in Percy, It produced a decent bass, but that is all.

Bright and early Saturday Morning, I headed to the Caney, caught a few decent trout, but nothing to brag about. Caught a 9 inch rainbow on a 4" jerkbait. HAHA! And people say rainbows are only bug eaters! Also caught about a 14" bow with some incredible colors!!

Saturday afternoon, back to Percy with high hopes with the strong south wind and warm temps. Boy was I right! Waded several spots and started tossing bass baits, nothing. Switched to trout mag, never tried anything else. Caught my biggest TN crappie, a big fat female around 14". Caught a total of 7 crappie, all 12-14". Caught absolutely tons of yellow bass. Also somehow managed to get a 2-3 lb hybrid in on the trout mag with 2 lb test. Boy was my drag a screamin!!

Sunday morning was at Tims Ford with StriperFan(see other post).

Sunday afternoon went back to Percy, wind switched, no fish there, walked to a windblown shore, bait everywhere, several casts with fluke. Nothing. First cast with trout mag, Drags a screamin with another hybrid! 7 minutes later and all my 2lb test stretched to the max got in another 2-3 lb hybrid. 3 nice largemouth later and I put a close to the weekend!

Awesome Weekend!!! I love this time of year!

You been tearing it up! My son and I were talking today about UL fishing and the Trout Magnet. He put it best when he said we are going to catch our Gills...crappie....trout.....but more than likely we will have several hook ups of fish we weren't really targeting....meaning bigger fish. I am addicted to thread lining! Glad you had such a good weekend!

Regards

Awesome pictures man. Figures that the night I was with you, no hybrids. Two nights without me, two hybrids lol.

Biggest thing I've caught on my UL setup was some large white bass. Can't imagine how fun it was to fight a hybrid like that on light line!!

Wow, this post make me remember the single life

I spent a bunch of years fishing any and everywhere. Now if I get to fish farther than 20 miles from home, it feels like a real adventure.

Great report and sounds like a blast!

Jim
