Microwave guide rods
What brand rods have the microwave guides? My $12 Bass Pro rod, which I really like, broke. The plastic guide came out, and well, while they may replace the rod, I might as well replace with the cost of the gas $$$ it would take to drive.
I will switch around rods and use the new one for ultra light fishing and another for throwing floats.

I picked up one at Dicks Sports in Murfreesboro for $50. It is a 6'6" light. TecLite by Field & Stream. I am impressed so far, I felt like I could have thrown a kastmaster to the other side of JPP Dam last Sunday.

Talked to jaycee this morning. A microwave guide and micro guide rod are two different things. I don't know of any company that is yet to use the microwave guide. I had mine made and if I did not like it I could send it back. The company that builds them wanted to try it out on me and I did not send any money in until I am satisfied with rod....so I could not lose. But for an avid UL fisherman it is the thing. I will be getting more. For the heavier stuff I have no clue....but it seems to me same principal would apply.
Regards

Hey Alphahawk, I ordered the Micro-Wave guide set from Jann's netcraft. Should be here in a day or two.
I'd like to have a 6'6" or 7' light action rod built with the MicroWave guides. Who is a good rod builder in the area?

P&J Custom Tackle makes the 9' rod for Trout Magnet. He also makes all types of rods of different lengths or action.
Makes a very good product and he is an awesome person and stands by his work 100%.
He has the Micro Wave guides.

Well, since I have already purchased the guides, I'd like someone local to build the rod using my guides. It's too late to call Mr. Rogers now, but is he near Nashville?
