The article left off an important word "landlocked" record. A guy up in Long Island Sound has an 80+ pounder a couple years ago.

That fish and this fish though in pics you can definitely tell the difference in landlocked vs saltwater. The one here has a major gut and the other was around 55" or so but streamlined.
