Default Navionics hot maps

Hey guys I just bought a navionics hot maps east card for my lowrance elite 7. Is there anything I need to do with it before it'll work properly? I'm very unsatisfied with what it's showing right now. It shows the channel and a few contours in deeper areas. Won't show me anything on flats or other similar areas. The version on my iphone shows 10 times more than it is right now. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, Spencer

Have you tried selecting the menu option on the Elite 7 to read card or just put the card and went to the map?

Where you trying to see contours at? Which lake?

I know in my older lowrance it did that. I changed location setting. It was on east tn and I changed to I think middle or west tn and it was more detailed. It should have a drop down screen with different locations. Not sure that will help on the newer unit but worth a try.

No we switched from the lowrance chart setting to navionics. It shows the channel itself really detailed and some of the deeper creek channels as well. I even uploaded the 'freshest data' from there site. I'm trying to view Kentucky Lake.

I have a Navionics Hotmaps Premium East in my Humminbird and I was updating it for the free year I had on "freshest data". It shows great contour detail for lakes in our area (OH & PP) and in particular Kentucky Lake which has amazing details. There has to be a setting for the Lowrance unit in Mapping or Navigation that allows you to "show all" for the mapping card's full detail.

I can't help you with your Navionics Hotmaps, but really interested in hearing more about your Lowrance Elite 7 HDI. After I recover from this Tackle Warehouse order I placed yesterday that will be my next item.

I have a hot maps platinum in my hummingbird 597 hd di and processer in the finder is not big enough to read it. I switched to a lakemaster and is fine. If anyone is interested in the navionics platinum card pm me.

I'll give that a look buccanear. The elite secen is awesome. Best graph for the momey to me. Doesn't have side imaging but down imaging is enough for me. Really like being able to tell more detail of what I'm seeing.
