Default Center Hill Friday

This is agelesssone. Don't know why I can't log in under that username anymore. Now I'm being logged in under my old username "dncncwboy".

Went to the Hill yesterday from 10-4:00. I caught one fish all day, only bite I had. I fished with jigs and trailer, finesse worms, wacky worm, drop shot rigged, Tennessee rig, crankbaits, lipless crankbaits, little 1/8 oz jigs with twistertails, slow rolled spinnerbaits. Fished points on the main lake down to forty feet and all the way to the back of a couple of coves.

Only fish I caught came on a super deep running Sybile crawdad colored crank. It was bouncing off the rocks in 22 FOW. That thing will wear you out cranking it! This 21 in (she may have stretched to 21.5, but I just wanted a quick photo and get her back in the lake), 4.5 lb. smallie is my personal best (I never fish for smallmouths in particular) and will qualify me for a TARP award (20" for smallmouth). One quick photo and back in the lake she went. She's back in Jones cove if you want to chase her!

Congrats! A fish like that can make for a good day by itself.

agelessone, that is one heck of a smallie!!! I would not mind to spend a whole day like you did if I can put even a single bronzeback of that quality in the boat! those fish don't come easy (at least for me they don't haha), I bet the fighting was pretty cool!! congrats!!

Your wife let you get away with throwing a keeper bass back in the water?? I hope you're not in big trouble for this lol

LOL, no, I left the Snorkster with the neighbors cause I figured it would be a long day, what with the 80 minute drive each way and then fishing for five or six hours. The have a yellow lab, Sadie. She loves it when Snorkie gets to come over and play. They totally go nuts, tearing around the house, in and out of the doggie door and storming around the yard.

I went to Germany a couple weeks ago and left the Snorkster with them.....didn't think they were going to give him back!

And Jimmy, we have an agreement. 4 Lbs and up gets a reprieve. I'll do a lot more bass fishing this year and stock her up with 14 inchers (LM) from OH and 15 inchers from JPP.
