Default Tough caney

Fished all day and caught 3 fish, nothing big. Didn't catch a fish till after 1500. Shad coming through all day and fish eating them at various spots on the river. lot of shad eating going on at happy, nobody there though but me and I couldn't catch them. We need alpha with his TM I guess they wouldn't do it for me. Caught a fish at betty's and two more at smithfork. regards

If you're not getting them......no need to waste my gas...LOL. Couldn't fish now anyway. You know the shad coming through....in any of these places...can really change the fishing....for good or bad. I have read where some folks say it helps the fishing....others say no. I don't know. I just know if we don't go we cant catch them...LOL.

Regards

Since the shad started coming through last weekend it had hurt me big time! I just left the caney, fished from 4-7:30. Not a bite, 2 weeks ago I was doing good. 3 trips this week = 3 skunks!

I was told by bd that if you get there as they turn the generators on during a shad kill its like gangbusters, once they been on a while the bite is tough because there is so much food to choose from and god help the man who pulls in after they shut the generators down.

Yes, that's pretty much it. If you're there when the feeding frenzy starts, it can be great, but once they get stuffed with shad, they get pretty selective.
