Rain is good this time of year. It brings fresh water into the lake and colors it up. Stained water will be more warm than clear water. Also, it will make the fish more predictable as when the water gets color they hang tight to cover. Find run off with stained water and cover then you'll probably find fish.
I found them yesterday in the pockets off the main channel or just in the creeks and the 45 degrees sloped banks as well. Used a craw imitation brown/orange and I like olive as well for Old Hick
