Caney hookjaws
Fished daylight till dark, rain/ thunderthorms/ wind/ 123321012 generaters. Wild weather and water flow. Fish bit good today but wind was so bad had to pull baits several times because flow was negated. Had a lot of bites and probably caught a dozen, most were hungry hook jaw males long and skinny. Finally caught two big fish about 10 miles down river at a spot I know that were in good shape. Going to try to post a pic of a really evil fish. Did not want in the boat with me but I had a 4/0 octopus drilled through his nose and he was not going any where. Did not measure fish just weighed on bogagrip snaped pic and released. Pulled boga to 10 lb mark, long lean greyish fish, do not remember catching another like it . If I get this pic posted you can thank alphahawk. If not you know who to blame.

Nicely done, do you fish those heavier flows controlling the boat alone?
I would think once you have enough flow under you to not worrry about stuff around the bottom as long as you stay off the edges and don't get cross ways at a bridge it won't be too bad.
What type boat you fish out of?

That's an awesome catch! I've only caught one legal brown(it was released) after countless trips to the Caney...

Charlie is going to keep your boat seat warm Alpha. Hopefully we will have a wet spring and there will be plenty of fishing for you and your new knee. Roy

I fish alone mostly. Have a Ipilot that is a lifesaver for me, I cannot operate a foot control and fish effectively. I catch a lot of fish running my outboard where necessary. My boat ia 1652mvt seark. Regards

Old Sailor, you are hardcore. But thats how its done, nice fish! The fish in the pic isn't the beast you spoke of, lets see it.
