Default Cumberland River

So before I really get into this, if you have a specific spot or technique, please PM instead of posting for the occasional on-looker. I will forward all the information to interested parties who contact me. I want to fish the cumberland here around Clarksville over the T-Giving holiday and I have been hearing really good reports about the striper fishing. I have been fishing with umbrella and swim bait rigs on the planner boards but the locations have mainly been rock walls. Not doing real hot since I'm asking for some tips and not giving advice. My next step is to start hitting the dams around here but I'm not getting the good reports from the dams. People just keep telling me they are catching them in other spots but I always feel like an a** asking someone to give their location up since I'm most likely going to go fish it. I always catch and release and never overfish a spot but it still makes most people uncomfortable.

Any hints or advice for some colder water fishing spots is really appreciated.

I will recount on my post.

I received several PM's and will continue to forward and share information to the users who contacted me. Right now there is no real solid information and hope I will have something after this weekend. I should be able to get out SAT morning and SUN afternoon.

fished down town this weekend and even though the weather was gorgeous and the ramps were clear I couldn't turn up the stripers. Marked a lot of bait fish and bigger fish following them but could not get the predators to hit. Mainly fishing plastics behind umbrella rigs but I think live bait is the next step and see if makes any difference.

I don't have a cast net, so where is the closest place to get live bait (minnows, shiners) around here? The closest one I know about is JT's on 79 out by Indian Mound.
