Default OH crappie

Got back early from a sales trip Monday and hit the water about 10 am and fished till 2 pm. Fished brush and docks in 5 to 10 feet of water. Water was pretty clear for OH and temps were in the upper 50's. Caught 18 keepers in the 10" to 12" range with very few short fish in the mix. I tightlined minnows and when the bite stopped I dropped a Bobby Garland Mo Glo chart. green with a 1/16 red jig head down there. Also shot some docks and the southern pro KY killer hot grub seemed to be the trick with a moving target. Fished mostly Station Camp both branches. Out on the main channel met a guy jigging for sauger and walleye by the old lock, he was jigging football hair jigs tipped with a minnow. He caught several short sauger while we were talking and showed me a 5 lb walleye he caught earlier in the day. It was a beautiful day to be on the water. I actually debated heading down to Nickajack thinking I might run into Alpha but figured he would be at the house with his limit by the time I got there
Good luck fishing to all,

Ray

Sounds like a good time. My next trip to Nickajack is Friday. Looks like the wind will be laying by then.

I got out today again on OH and ended up with 12 keepers out of station camp. Most came from shooting docks with a red sparkle/ chart jig. Most of my fish came out 12-16 FOW water. Was a cold day on the lake with the wind
