Default Cumberland bass report 9/30/2012

Fished about a 5 mile stretch yesterday afternoon not far from Nashville. The bass were not hitting soft plastics off of chunk rock so we switched to throwing spinner baits close to wood and was glad we did. We got bit on almost every laydown and had a blast. Nothing big but the bite total was phenomenal. I think the current really helped and the fact that they were reacting tells me that they are about to go into fall feeding mode.

About of third of our fish looked like a hybrid between a spot and a smallmouth. I'm still fairly new to Nashville - am I hallucinating or does the Cumberland have hybrids? What do folks call them here?
