Default Caney 7/7

Got to the dam at around 10:30, and fished while everyone got the canoes ready. Caught 3 on the trout magnet while waiting for everyone to arrive. Got on the river at about 11:30, caught a few, then the generation came and didnt catch anything the rest of the day. Did they generate from 12 til 8? Is fishing always awful when they're generating?

Glad you got out and caught some fish.

Yeah that was what they generated on 7/7.

No, fishing is not awful on high water just different. You have to change up methods. For gear throw jerkbaits any size really, spoons, 1/4oz inline spinners, diving crankbaits and things that get down or push water. For fly most will switch to sinking lines or sink tips and chuck streamers.

The TM is not heavy enough for that current. Maybe a CM would be but really on generation most go after the bigger fish since that is when they will move more because its comfortable and it forces their food (other trout) into specific places in the current.
