Default Catfish help?

Since my day time gill pond has had a kill, can anyone point me in the direction of a place somewhat local to the north side of Old Hickory area to catch catfish with my girls from the bank? Doesn't even have to be on Old Hickory but definitely not a pay lake.

Ideally shade available maybe even something to play on and fish of any size.

You can PM me details if you want.

Thanks.

Travis, I know you have a boat, sooo, I have a buddy of mine that is a Jugger and man, man has he been wearing out catfish(right after dark in shallow water off channel) on OH down around Shutes Branch and back toward Gallatin(he would woop my) of course there are alot of Juggers on here I am sure that already know this. His first two a week ago were over 50+, his buddy broke a new net by trying to lift them in the boat with the net outstreached. I don't know if the girls would care anything about it his newbie buddy was tore all to pieces over the size and amout of catish they were catching. He is not staying real late either. I told him to call me the next time he went I am not much of a jug fisherman, but would like to see how it is done. By the way just got back from Dale Hollow my first fishing at night over there(left the freeking camera locked up in the car) First two were over 4 lbs. and then nothing guys there are some pigs over there.

Thanks for the info. I will have to see whats around there.

My girls are 2 & 4 but love to fish. I haven't took my smallest out on the boat yet and dare not to try both with just me. Maybe there is nice bank access close by or I was thinking about the end of Lock 4 park.

I am just looking for small fish they can reel in nothing too big.

LOL. I know exactly what your going through Travis. My girls are 2 and 4 also. WAY to much to handle by yourself in the boat. My 4 year old goes with me at times on the boat, but its not so bad when its just me and her.

Travis, I'd try around Rock Island.

Saunders Ferry Park might be worth a look very early in the morning, or after sundown. I'm still catching some catfish up on shallow flats on Old Hickory early and late while fishing for other species.
