Default Out of state Angler Looking for local Lake Fishing Advise!

I live In Washington state and have mainly fished in the Pacific NW most of my life. My parents Just retired near Morristown, TN on Cherokee lake and my wife and I are going to be there from the 4th of july and a few days after. I was wondering what advice for fishing in this region anyone can give me. Such as: what pound test line is good, what are effective lures, and what fish should I focus on. I tend to fish Salmon, Steal heads, Rainbows and other Trouts in WA state and my tackle reflects that. I got a ton of spoons and flies. Any thoughts or friendly advice is much appreciated.

Default morristown, tn

morristown is right next to cherokee lake ... lots of hybrids and a rebuilding striper population ... all the regular stuff too smallies, large mouth, cats, crappie, white bass etc ... hire a guide and shorten the learning curve... try Ezell Cox ... he has been fishing stripers on cherokee since the beginning of time ... get involved with some of the many fishing clubs in that area

great cold water fisherery below cherokee dam in the holston river for trout
