Default Dale Hollow reports?

Heading up there this weekend and wondering if anyone has heard any recent reports. Will be fishing mostly at night but will fish a few mornings and evenings also. Hopefully get on a good topwater bite.

I was there last weekend and the cold front made the fishing tough... The morning top water bite was very good Saturday morning.. We fished out of Horse Creek Resort..

We did the best on Zara Spooks in bone color and Zoom Super flukes in pearl worked fast with an occasional pause. We caught maybe 25 bass there over last weekend and only 1 was a largemouth which was about 3lbs. Everything else was Smallmouth.

Only one largemouth? That's what I like to hear!

One more question...

What type of structure were you working your topwater lures over? Points or brush or fishing the jumps?

Thanks for the help!

Main lake points mostly. You would catch some busting shad occasionally. There are a lot of shad hanging out in the 14-20ft range. The Spook stole the show because when the smallies would hit it they would destroy it.

We used Zara spooks and hula poppers and it was some of the best fun I've had in a long time.. I love it when the smallies explode on the lure..

No doubt! They would miss it or try to kill it on the first hit but you had to brace yourself for that 2nd blow-up LOL
