Default Hit the creek today.

Took the girls for a creek day today and had a blast with redeye, rock bass, black perch, goggle eye which ever you care to call them.

Had my 7wt fly rod this time because the stretch we were in tends to hold smallies and largemouth. The fish were looking up so I started with a flying ant fly which produced bunches of bream but not really what I was after. Then, I put on a larger size 8 hopper and drifted it up next to root balls. It only took one twitch as it drifted next to them before getting smacked.

Here's what most of them looked like. Maybe next time the bass will play but boy these can make for a fun day too.
