Default Fishing Near Franklin, TN with Kids

Hi,

I wanted to take my six year old fishing today, and I am open to suggestions for locations. I had him with me on the Duck river last weekend. We tried chartreuse rooster tails, but no luck.

If you could offer locations and recommendations for baits/lures, I would greatly appreciate it. We're fishing for pan fish, large mouth, rock bass, or small mouth.

Thanks!

The Harpeth river has a few access areas in Franklin that may be worth checking out... There's some TWRA lakes in Columbia too....

Default Live Bait

Think I would use a worm or cricket on a float to ensure success. We have been have luck with a watermelon 4 in Lizard rigged Texas with as little as weight as he can cast. Good Luck, I wish mine were six again.

Thanks for the feedback. We were able to get to a pond late yesterday, and after trying six lures, we found that the one they wanted was the white rooster tail.
