Default Lil Creek 5/23

Took the girls down the play in the creek today. Also stowed the flyrod just in case.

The creek had plenty of water in it and fish were every where. I couldn't begin to count up the number of fish caught. Nothing of real size but fun none the less. There was one decent bass that looked to be a smallie swimming around the hole we were at but nothing interested him.

For those who don't fish creeks, I highly suggest it. Especially if lil ones are involved. High easy catch rates plus they can play in the water afterwards. Just get out a map or go to about every greenway/park around and chances are there is water near by.

Here are a few of what was caught....nice colors.

Nice-fishing with kids and getting them where they catch, identify and release is what its all about.

Thanks and that is true.

They dug for crayfish too and after becoming pretty good at finding them I had the girls looking for mayfly nymphs. Was hoping they could turn up a dobson fly larvae (hellgrammite) but that may have scared them away.
