Default Vfw 5-20-2012

Decided to go to VFW for a little afternoon fishing. It is hardly ever crowded on weekends...lots of time you will have the lake to yourself. Caught about 3 dozen Gills and Shell Crackers before calling it a day. The Shell Cracker was 13 inches long. The others I caught were around 10 inches. Had a total of 7 Shell Crackers. The Gills were running anywhere from 8 inches to the 11 inch Gill that I have laying flat on my arm and going past my wrist. Laurel Hill gets all the attention down there and moist folks really don't know VFW can produce some very nice Gills and the Shell Crackers...if you can find them...are really big in there. Hot...but a nice day on the water. This was just another day that by having the kayak I was able to catch fish rather than go home skunked. The fish were out in deeper water and had I been on the bank could not have cast to them.

Regards
