Default quantum optix?

I have been looking at the quantum optix at walmart for some time now. Anybody had any experience with it I know it a cheap reel I don't catch big fish where I go alot but I would like it to be able to go places like glen spring or reelfoot lake I would be going for bass. I have been also looking at the abu garcia cardinal too. Thanks

I've not fished that specific rod but, I've purchased two of the "quantum" rods over the years. I've had no problem whatsoever(excluding snapping one in half on a rock, wal-mart replaced it instantly.) For $20 they're well worth the money.

I think the Quantum Optix reels are excellent for the price, I've use both small and large versions and they've been very smooth.

I've been using a couple of Quantum Optix 10 reels now for several years. Have caught thousands of bream, crappie, white bass, yellow stripe, trout, etc. and these 2 reels and they are still going strong. IMO, best $20 reel I ever bought.
