Default Nickajack 11-18-11

Rick was right...it was cold at Nickajack this morning. Got started about 7:15AM. Had 10 fish by 11:00AM and the bite was over for me. The single fish measures 15.5 inches...the other 9 were all between 14 and 15 inches. Had 5 fish pull off. The Trout Magnet jig head is not the best hook for Crappie but I guess I can't complain.....since it is specifically designed for Trout fishing. I tried my Crappie hole at Pickwick yesterday. It is full of Crappie all 8 to 10 inches. I knew when I pulled up in the parking lot that the big Crappie were not there. The locals know when those fish move in and are always there. Will not return to Pickwick until mid or late December. Meanwhile will continue to fish Nickajack.

Regards
