Default Moving to Texas!

I may be relocating for work to the Houston,TX area soon.I know some of you guys are from there or have lived there.What are your opinions on the area and hows the fishing and hunting?

Spent a year there last October. The Interstate traffic is abismal. The food is great, the land is flat. Here is a link to a fishing forum for that area:

Well, you're 3 hours away from the Guadalupe River near Austin - that's the only Texas water I know.

Galveston is only an hour away. I'd give it a shot for reds ASAP. Other than that, I have no love for Houston, it was always hot, crowded, and generally blah whenever I visited.
