Upper river is fishing okay. Downriver (Betty's Island on down) the numbers of fish are not good but the ones you find will be quality holdover fish.

If you fly fish, the upper river fish are eating sowbugs in about a #16 or #18. Last week, larger fish were hitting cicadas aggressively. That's probably just about over, but I'm going tomorrow and I'm hoping I might be able to have one more good cicada day before it's done.

I went yesterday around 5pm, high water, in search of bigger browns. I got a 15" brown and then a 17" brown which is my biggest ever and it was on the flyrod! I was smiling like a kid in a candy store with a gift card.

Thanks guys! Seems like the generation has slacked off and has been pretty much the same for awhile now. We are gonna give it a shot.

My wife and I floated it yesterday and ended up with a bluegill, a drum, and 3 walleyes! lost several rainbows half way in and lost 2 more walleyes. All small rainbows, with one bigger one, that also got off. Lots of short hits also. Good day hanging with the wife! Hope to do it again soon! All fish were on rapalas or rooster tails.

We ended up with 20-25 rainbows between 4 of us. Mostly on rooster tails and some on corn. Had a few bigger rainbows in the 15-17inch range. We had an enjoyable day between friends and caught some decent trout, what more can ya ask for!
