Default Mosquitos!

I put in at Stewart's Creek on JPP yesterday afternoon. Water levels are still a little high but not by much. Caught some shad with a cast net and got on a small school of hybrids. Went back to boat ramp just before dark and the mosquitos were unbelievably thick. It reminded me of some of those Canadian fishing show. Anyone seeing this in other areas?

With all the rain we have had any place that will hold water will have breeding blood suckers. They are thick everywhere.I went to a private lake and if I didnt have strong bug spray it would have been unfishable.Shellcrackers were bedding.Got some monsters.

I took the family to stewarts saturday to walk around and do some bluegill fishing and we couldnt make it 100 yards around the loop they were so thick. Got back in the truck to leave and the cab was so full of them we had to ride with the windows down to get them out. They were even in my tackle bag?? Had to find us another place.

Yes, they were so thick at Seven Points, I dint have bug spray, and spent first 15 minutes killing them. just clap hands anywhere around and you would have killed at least ten mosquitos. Then it slowed down when sun was out.

Default Mosquitos

It was so bad at Stewarts Creek ramp on Sunday afternoon that I loaded the boat onto the trailer, raised the motor, then drove into Smyrna before stopping to strap everything down. Thinking about night fishing on evening this week at Woods with the ole Green Magnet. I wonder if the mosquitos will be bad there.
