Default What and where ya catching?

Today I stopped at Stewart's creek, the water is over the bank and the
yellow bass are biting on a roadrunner jig and a chartruse grub. At the
enhanced fishing area the lake water is higher and lots of debree floating,
Caught a Spotted Bass on a Bandit 100 about 30 ft from shore. At Lamar
Hill boat ramp the wind was so high did not catch anything. A nice couple
of hours fishing!

Crappie near East Fork/West Fork split on minnows extremely close to brush around 8ft deep. Went Monday morning and it was one after another until the wind started picking up. 4 keepers (one was 13") caught several 9 to 9 1/2. I would like to catch some of those yellow bass you are getting into.

Them yellow are being caught all up and down the bank of stewart creek
in Smyrna. I use grubs for the fun of it, but the fish fry minded are
doing great using worms laying on the bottom!

Thursday I was at the enhanced fishing area, and threw cranks and
plastic t-rigs at the bass, no bites at all. But I did reel in a couple of
Crappie on the roadrunner jig and little fishie!!

If you're bank fishing, I've had good success at Jefferson Springs. Chicken Liver works well, but I find that I get bigger channel cats using cut shad that I've caught with a cast net.

I am going to go take a look at the Priest today. I wonder if it will reach the levels it got to last year? It is only 6 ft away right now.

I was at Percy on Saturday. A lady walking her dog said that it was higher than the flood last year. I didn't see it last year so don't know. I don't think they'll be lowering the water much any time soon.
