Default jpp crappie

was 15" with lot of eggs. Caught this last Sunday from Seven points.
Saw big schools of fish near the banks - never seen this in the last two years I've been to Seven Points. Don't know what fish they were; probably white bass - a guy caught a white bass one on a jig...May be should have gone with a cast net...

Caught 15 today near Fate Sanders with 6 being keeper size. The two bigger ones were around 12.5". Most were caught on red/chartreuse jigs, with a few on minnows.

There are lots of gizzard shad schooling up near the banks on Priest right now because they're getting ready to spawn. If you were seeing a bunch of silver fish swimming around in big schools close to the bottom near the bank, it was probably shad.

If they were busting the surface and chasing bait, I agree that it was probably white bass or maybe hybrids.
