Default Davis Corner 3/19

Sorry I'm a bit late getting this in but I got a free pass to go fish that Saturday evening and tooled around a few hours with nary a nibble. Threw mainly spinner baits and cranks.

Fooling around, I took a football head jig in black and blue with weed guard and put a brown 6" lizard on the hook. Caught my biggest LM ever. She tipped in at a smidge over 22" and according to my Bass Pro scales, just under 7#'s.

She swallowed my lure deep and was so heavy I had to keep switching thumbs because it was getting tired. I'd give her a little recoop swim every now and then. Her tail was bloody on the bottom like she'd been fanning.

Loafed another hour or so and didn't get another nibble.

I hate hooking a bass deep.I had one a week ago that was about 2 and finally got it out with hemostats but it started to bleed.I got it back in but dont know if it mabe it.It was struggling at first but slowly swam away.I dont eat bass and hate it when I kill one.
