Default stones river crappie bite

headed to the east and west fork intersect yesterday and found some crappie.all 18 were taken over brushpiles on the channel drop in 10 to 12 ft. over 18 to 20 ft. here is the kicker,only 1 was under 10 in. had 4 over 13 in.red/chart. tube jig and baby shad bobby garlands.pretty much vertical the whole time.also kept 3 nice yella bellys.the slabbers are almost always in deeper water

I picked up some in much shallower water over the weekend - somewhere "in the vicinity" of where you were, but really tight to the bank . I didn't have quite the numbers, but they were nearly all big slabs and there were lots of white and yellow bass to fill in the gaps.

I think with the weather bouncing back and forth between warm and cold, the crappie are all over the place right now. It's definitely the time to find them though.
