Anyone been there lately? thinking about going there this weekend but don't want to waste my time , all the lakes near me are dead af , been crushing numbers at Melton Hill the last 6 weeks but last Saturday went and only got 6 LMs, any reports are appreciated

I fished CH tonight and just got home. The bite is good. The fish are definitely putting the feed on because they don't look like summer bass anymore. Me and my sister fished and I don't know about the deep bite but the shallow bite is on. Typical fall fishing as far as pattern and technique. The bite got slower farther back in the small creeks and main lake pockets we went but the quality got better. Lot of bait and a lot of chasing.
