Default Epic day at Normandy.

Had a great day at Normandy. Caught dozens of 13-14 inch trout and a 20 inch Smallie on 2.1# test line....a heck of a battle.

Regards

That was Thursday. Been killing trout over there in the 13-15 inch range for over week. It is on fire. The jig head is a 2 gram #8 hook.

I went last Wednesday and was surprised how dirty the water was. I caught maybe 20 trout with a couple nice ones and ended up catching a few nice crappie with a bunch of shorts. I hung into something that just pulled for a few moments and I never had a chance, hook popped out after it made a few dives. I never fish right up against the dam but I may need to give it a shot, usually there is someone sitting there fishing the bottom.

Yeah water has been muddy a while. The walleye are making a run too....had a huge one on and hooked pulled out as got to the net...that comes with fishing a #8 hook.

Great video Alpha. Man I bet that was fun battling that smallmouth on 2lb test. A little stressful I'm sure but oh soo much fun. Great job landing that big girl!

Thanks much. Yes it was stressful. That polyester line will snap in a micro second. Had I been in a lake I wouldn’t have been as stressed. When it jumped I really thought “No way am I landing this fish in this current”. But it worked out.
