Default Kentucky Lake report

This come second hand from a great source. Friend caught 20 something keepers between two guys last Thursday. Fishing out of Buchanan. Big Bassmasters tourney their last weekend. So he did not fish. He fishes simple with tight line, minnows, and a bell sinker. Here is the bad part. The fish are real skinny. Not because they have spawned they believe its because of the Asian carp the last 5 or so years. Its starting to take it toll on the crappie. I don't know much on other fishes. I hope it changes. He is my go to summer crappie fisherman.

I have been hearing the same thing. Skinny fish and not many caught. A lot of the guides are having a hard time figuring them out. Some fishermen are blaming the fluctuating water elevation and the cold weather. I might go to the New Johnsonville area on Wednesday. It will depend on how much I get done tomorrow.
