Default Williamsport Crappie Management

Did my part in managing the crappie population at Shell Cracker today. Brought 15 nice ones to the house. Fished both minnows and jigs in 12' - 14' of water. Beautiful day to be out.

They were all 10 1/2" to 12" fish. No big slabs today.

A 12 inch crappie.....be it caught in TN....MS....or anywhere is considered a good fish...a slab...if you will. So yes you had some slabs today.

I hope to be fishing there some this spring. I agree with Alpha, a 12 inch crappie is a slab and I might add very good eating. Congratulations on a great day on the water.
