Fishing is tough everywhere. Fish are kind of transitional between summer and fall patterns. I say kind of because of the weird weather we've had. But with this cold snap it should put everything in full fall pattern. Which is hard to fish also. The fish are so keyed in on bait balls that if you don't "match the hatch" size wise and close to a natural color, you won't have a good day. I like to use a shad pattern but have a little chartreuse or bright orange or red on the bait. Nothing drastic, just a subtle change to help differentiate your lure from the millions of shad they have to choose from. Hope this helps you catch a ton of bass this fall. I'm certainly excited about the upcoming fall and winter!!!
