Arrow The Wife's nice pair...of stripers

It's that time of year again where the Stripers move to a more reasonable distance from my house This weather has made them anything but predictable. Slowly but surely a few have made their way downstream. Nothing huge yet, but they're coming. We went out the other day just to take a look on a 90º day with very little water movement. I threw the cast net out and got a couple dozen shad. I put a dozen in the live well where they starting dying almost immediately, not a good thing We drove around for about an hour until we found some water below 70º. Once we hit 67º water, what a ya know, Fish. We caught about 8 decent, almost eater size Stripers in about 20 minutes. All signs point to Great Fall Action! Now where are the Big Ones???

Thumbs up

Cool hope something starts biting as I have been in a deficit of fish lately.

I may break down and buy a Cast net as 20 years ago I used them but
mostly bass fish now days.

Are we expecting some cooler weather? The lake was stagnant a couple of days ago, just hot, muggy, & lifeless. Couldn't find anything but Catfish...

Good report. Thanks. Sounds like a pretty good catch rate once you found them. I've had mixed success trying to intercept them on their way down lake there and elsewhere.

I hear ya. We just found the one 20 yard stretch of moving water. We spend hours staring at that HDS 12, sometimes they give us the slip

The stripe patterns on those two fish are almost identical. Very cool. The fish appear to be just about the same size and have almost identical patterns. What's the odds they are related? Very cool.

I didn't notice, but you're right. Maybe twin brothers? Every single one of the fish were the same exact size all day. Go Figure!
