Default Bank fishing OH at Sanders Ferry Park 6-14

Caught this catfish Wednesday on a blue fleck firetail, 7 inch powerbait worm. This is my first fish on anything plastic. I set a goal last year to do it and yesterday it happened. Since I can only fish from the bank, i think I might start focusing more on the plastics. Love the site. Thought I would post something for once instead of just reading about other people's experiences. Have a great day!

Nice one. Keep it up with the plastic. Never give up, and you'll catch more and more bass.

Nice cat for sure!
ive caught some really nice cats on Priest throwing a 4" natural color craw texas rigged. For some reason that color catches more cats than other colors ive tried on that lake.

What ^^^^^ goofball said...Texas rig a craw! Better yet, Texas a Berkley power bait crazy legs or chigger craw in a green pumpkin or watermelon/red flake and hang on!! I went below shelter #6 at Saunders park one night with glow sticks on bobbers and caught two nice cats and a bunch of bluegills on cut night crawlers. Good luck...and never give up!

Welcome, Cats love the powerbait worms. I've caught so many at night on Priest fishing the black 7" worm. Keep at it and make sure if you are fishing form the bank you are still trying to work cover or structure. If you have the time go to google earth and use the time machine tab and go back in time to the pictures that show the winter draw down on lakes and find fishable structure that is now underwater that you can fish from the bank.
